Scientists are developing elastic devices, similar to bacteria, that can change shape to reach the most difficult to reach areas of the human body. They are completely bio-compatible and can change shape. Research is underway at the Swiss Universities Ecole Polytechnique Federale in Lausanne and the Federal Institute of Technology, known as ETH, in Zurich.

These intelligent microrobots, which can swim through fluids, can pass through blood vessels and complex systems without compromising speed or maneuverability. The control takes place via an electromagnetic field. Interesting indeed!
