A 19-year-old student from Villongo, in the province of Bergamo, died from fulminant meningitis. Affected by a high fever Monday afternoon while she was in the University of Brescia, the young woman was taken to the Spedali Civili emergency room. His condition did not initially appear to be severe but the clinical picture plummeted into the night and the girl died on Tuesday morning. The public prosecutor has ordered an autopsy.
