The prime minister Theresa May, has essentially formalised the intention to resign earlier than expected in exchange for a green light for the quarrelsome majority in the divorce agreement from the EU already rejected twice by the municipalities.
British premier Theresa May announced that she will resign if her divorce agreement from the EU is approved, speaking to conservative deputies meeting behind closed doors. It is her last desperate attempt to get the green light for her plan, already rejected twice. At the meeting of the parliamentary group, May assured that she will leave the office before the start of the second phase of the negotiation with the EU on Brexit, in exchange for the support of the divorce agreement reached with Brussels.
The premier promised “that she will not remain in her post for the second phase of negotiations” with the EU, deputy James Cartlidge revealed to the press after the meeting.
