A number of schools this morning faced an extremely delicate situation when parents drew their attention to cases of children who in recent days came back from Italy or Sicily.
Now, we have been told to not panic. However, how can you blame them? Parents are genuinely concerned about the situation. Health authorities still continue to appeal for calm, and there is no directive on children’s lessons.
The only change was that there will be no parents days, while the unions representing teachers also asked for caution and to adhere to a number of directives.
It has been reported that this happened in Luqa and Santa Venera this morning where a number of students were left to attend the primary school after having returned from Sicily. This is not an isolated situation.
