The Superintendent of Public Health said that in the last 24 hours, only three people were found to be positive for coronavirus. So now we have 110 cases in Malta. Even though the number is very small, Gauci appealed to everybody to keep their feet on the ground and continue to follow the instructions and the measures being taken.

In her words, it is not the first time that there were days where the number of new infections was small one day, but the next day there was a large number of cases.

Gauci appealed to everyone to continue to follow the measures and appeals made. She insisted that in other countries, there were situations where because there were fewer cases, many began to relax, go out and that led to a rise in cases again.

She mentioned what happened in Hong Kong, where when people relaxed and started going out because they saw fewer cases – they ended with a doubling of infected people.
