To date, €16 million worth of Government vouchers have been spent. The vouchers were distributed as part of the initiatives to ease the economic impact of Covid-19.
During a press conference by the Minister for the Economy and industry, Silvio Schembri, he said that €6 million in vouchers have been used in their digital format while €10 million of printed vouchers have been used.
The most red vouchers which are for food establishments have been used the most. To date €9.2m have been spent from these red vouchers while €6.9m have been spent from the blue vouchers.
Minister Schembri said that by 4 July, Maltapost had completed the entire process of distributing the printed vouchers and those who were not at home were left a note to collect them from a MaltaPost branch.
