It’s a period of innovation for Instagram that announces the update of the camera for the Stories. To make the announcement is the head of Instagram, Adam Mosseri who through a series of Stories published on his profile, shows the innovations of the application camera.
The effects and filters available to the user will be easier to browse and the camera will present itself with a much more user-friendly layout. This “new” layout, however, is not a great innovation. In the most careful eyes, the new camera is very reminiscent of the layout of the one in use on Snapchat. Since Instagram has included Stories on the platform in 2016, the social network is usually inspired by Snapchat without even hiding it too much.
We’re rolling out a new camera design today — easier to browse effects, a dedicated create mode for stickers and more! Hope you’all like it… pic.twitter.com/NLpsTNGXDL

But the product works and users are satisfied with the new features offered by the platform, including the disappearance of the like count under the photos. Now with the inclusion of the new camera along with the dark mode and the elimination of the “follow already” section, Instagram does not seem to end the surprises in store for its users.
There are also other new features for Stories such as “Create” that allows you to write, draw, add stickers and gif or tag branded partners, on a colored background. The function will be useful for writing short messages that can be published in the Stories. The new camera and its features are already active for all users, Android and iOs, who have updated the application.
