We all know how irritating it could be on a lane, especially a long haul one… sitting next to strangers who have their own habits (like you do after all!). Yet some habits might be somewhat gross…

I once had to sit on a flight next to an elderly man who had meat with sauce in a plastic bag and he was digging into it with his hands and eating and slurping… I was lucky not to have puked as the smell was horrid! Anyhow, a video of a man using his feet where he shouldn’t while traveling has gone viral for cringe-worthy reasons.

Author Alafair Burke shared the video to her Twitter Monday, which shows a passenger using his bare feet to control a plane’s touch-screen TV in front of him.

My friend who doesn’t have twitter sent this from her flight. It belongs on Twitter,” she captioned the video, which has garnered over 24,000 retweets and 117,000 likes in less than 24 hours. People were quick to react to the unsanitary incident in the replies, with one person writing, “This is the most disturbing thing I’ve seen on twitter.”

People in first class look at me crazy for wiping down everything. This is exactly why. Yuck,” another wrote.

Some brought up the question of whether the passenger used his feet because he suffered from mobility uses. Burke disproved this theory, however. “The photographer confirms that she saw him walk on and off the plane, carrying his own bag. He just likes to watch TV with his bare feet,” she wrote in a follow-up tweet.

It is unclear what airline the passenger was on – but note to self for your next flight: bring disinfectant wipes!
