The shipping companies MSC and Costa Crociere have cancelled cruises departing from Chinese ports in the face of the coronavirus epidemic after China has suspended in recent days the organised trips of its residents to the inside the country and abroad.

MSC has announced the cancellation of three cruises of the 6,880 passenger Splendida, which were due to depart from Shanghai on February 1, 5 and 9 for mini-cruises in Japan. Costa has “temporarily” suspended nine voyages departing from Chinese ports until February 4.
