Especially during the summer, drinking lots of water during the day, avoiding excesses, is not only good for health but also for our beauty. It helps us to fight water retention and therefore cellulite, allows us to have a hydrated skin and bright and makes us feel light. In summer, because of the high temperatures, it is important to avoid the exaggerated consumption of sugary, carbonated or alcoholic drinks and replace them with refreshing drinks and made with natural products, even better if prepared at home.
Here are two very simple recipes to prepare at home: delicious and healthy refreshing drinks; one based on ginger and the other with cedar and mint.
RECIPE: REFRESHING DRINK TO GINGER
Excellent in case of flu, known for its digestive properties and rich in vitamins E and B6, potassium, phosphorus and calcium, ginger is also a perfect ingredient for the preparation of a delicious refreshing drink:
- 750 ml of water
- 1 untreated lemon
- 6 cm of fresh ginger
Boil the water and then pour it into a jug with untreated lemon and sliced ginger. Leave to infuse for 20 minutes, strain and serve hot or cold drink.
RECIPE: REFRESHING DRINK WITH CEDAR AND MINT
Cedar, as well as ginger, is a food rich in nutrients beneficial to health. It possesses germicidal, disinfectant, digestive and anticancer properties, is a natural antihypertensive and a true ally in case of cystitis.
- 3 litres of water
- 3 untreated cedars
- 500 gr of sugar
- A bunch of mint
Boil the rind of the 3 untreated cedars in 3 litres of water and, after 10 minutes, add the chopped pulp and the sugar and cook for 2 hours. Filter, add the mint bunch and let it cool. Keep in the fridge.
