‘Repubblika’ says Police Commissioner has done nothing in the year since he was appointed
The activist group Repubblika said that the moment of truth has come for Police Commissioner, Angelo Gafa. In a news conferencie in front of the Police HQ, Repubblika said that Mr Gafa should arraign those who it claims have damaged Malta’s name, and those who robbed the Maltese people of their wealth, their good reputation and their future.
The President of Repubblika, Robert Aquilina said that if this happens, the group will give him its full backing and support his work. He said that they are disappointed by the lack of action, one year after his appointment. He added that all the Commissioner has done to date is an exercise of rebranding the Police Force, and pointed out that the country can start getting back on the right track if the Commissioner fulfils his mission, which according to Repubblika, is to throw all those who are corrupt in jail.
