We came across Saġġar. Their mission is ‘Bringing people together to rejuvenate the Maltese Environment’. They have vouched to plant 1 million trees and rejuvenate the Maltese environment. They aim to ‘bring about proactive collaboration for the ecological rehabilitation of the Maltese islands by planting one million native trees and shrubs‘.

‘Saġġar aims to sow and plant a million trees and shrubs of the native genotype and rehabilitate ecological reserves, public land and private lands. Everybody has a role to play – this is only possible through collaboration’. Their ‘ambition is to bring about and an inclusive and proactive movement that consciously revitalises the Maltese islands’. This mission is a collaboration between the QLZH foundation and ACT.

Anyhow, Saġġar have launched a challenge and we are willing to help! They have promised to plant an extra tree for every share and like they get on the Facebook page. And who are we to get in their way? Let’s hope this post results in many likes and share – now is the time to stop complaining about concrete and cranes and buildings; let’s save our tiny island!

So how can we help? You can either donate money to this mission by clicking HERE… else you can click on their Facebook page and like and share for an extra tree to be planted, by clicking HERE!

Also, make sure you share this article for everyone to be aware of this magnificent project. Spread the word!
