Samsung is working on augmented reality glasses, as demonstrated by a new patent filed with the US patent office that shows some features. The device would be different from the current VR viewer on the market both for the technologies used, and for the aesthetics, closer instead to that of a pair of traditional prescription glasses.
Among the expected technical features, the possibility of activating the display by opening one of the rods, thanks to the use of some sensors. At the moment we don’t know much else and, being a patent, it is not certain that this product will ever see the light.
There are several companies that are working in this direction, perhaps even rival Apple, with the increasingly massive production of Augmented Reality content, made for these devices.
