A few weeks after the rumour that Tinder had secretly worked on an interactive web series to launch on his application, here comes the first images in the form of trailers. The dating app, in fact, had decided to exploit the potentialities linked to the most common movements of their users (to swipe, that is to move the screen of the smartphone with a finger, to the right or to the left) formulating an interactive video content in which the users were really to decide how to continue the story. In these hours, an anticipation has arrived that shows the peculiar point of view.

The serial project is called Swipe Night and, as can be seen in the clip, shows four protagonists (including the public itself) while participating in a party, before discovering, however, that the world is about to end and a few hours are left before the apocalypse. Throughout the month of October, Tinder will release an episode every Sunday (four in total) and users will have from 6 pm until midnight to participate in the interactive experience and make their own choices; after which you will have to wait for the next episode and in the meantime you will be able to see in the profile of the other people who participated what options they have selected. For an experience more authentic and immersive, the app has developed mobile only modes but above all it will give the possibility to view the clips only once , to obtain more spontaneous choices.

The series was shot in Mexico City and was directed by Karena Evans , former director of video clips by rapper Drake God’s Plan and In My Feelings. Nicole Delaney from Big Mouth and  Brandon Zuck from Five Points dealt with the script; in the cast appear the young and so far little known Angela Wong Carbone, Jordan Christian Hearn and Shea Vaughan-Gabor. The first episode of Swipe Night will arrive on Tinder on October 6th, currently available only in the United States.
