The Malta Competition and Consumer Affairs (MCCAA) found on the market gas heaters that were for sale in recent years that do not comply with the regulation applicable to devices working with gas. These heaters are from the brand Simba; NY-F138 model with a name plate as indicated in the photos.

Such products are supposed to be marked with the CE mark followed by four figures representing the Notified Body that conducted the control of the production of such products. This is not prsent on said heaters. Moreover, on the same heaters the identity of the manufacturer or the contact details are not listed. Therefore, consumers are asked to refrain from using these heaters.

The same Authority is notifying the public about a call made by the manufacturer of the product Dunlop Travel Hair Dryer 1200W, the number of the model is: Ch-601; Lot: 2051518. 

This product was withdrawn from the market because it was found that the fan of this product may be defective. This can lead to the dryer  heating up with the consequence of becoming too hot to be considered safe to use. This product was sold from September 2018 to May 2019.

Consumers who have purchased this product are asked to stop using it immediately and return it back to where they bought it.
