It is not yet known why Ethiopian Airlines’ Boeing 737 Max 8bound for Nairobi crashed six minutes after take-off. The American president Donald Trump, however, has an idea: the fault, according to him, is also of the scientists who build planes that are too complex. Qed tifhem?

As always, Mr Donald expressed his opinion on Twitter. “The pilots are no longer, but rather computer scientists from MIT. I see it all the time in many products. Always seeking to go one unnecessary step further, when often old and simpler is far better,” he wrote.

In another tweet, he added: “…complexity creates danger. All of this for great cost yet very little gain. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want Albert Einstein to be my pilot. I want great flying professionals that are allowed to easily and quickly take control of a plane!”.

Enough with the oddities…

The American company that sold the plane to Ethiopian Airlines, announced that it will update the software that measures the angle of incidence. The decision is the result of a request by the FAA, the American federal aviation agency.

Meanwhile, Norwegian Air has joined the list of airlines that have decided not to use the Boeing 737 anymore pending further investigation. The aircraft purchased by Ethiopian Airlines, the Indian Jet Airways and the Chinese, Australian and Malaysian civil aviation will remain on the ground. London, on the other hand, has banned the entry of Boeing 737s into its airspace, as well as France, Germany, and even Malta.
