Between April and June of this year, the average number of vehicles with new licences was at 65 daily.
During the same period, the stock of licensed vehicles increased at an average of 43 daily more than the same three months in. 2020.
Statistics issued by the National Office of Statistics (NSO) show that in June, the number of licensed vehicles stood at 408,205.
Of these, 76.2% were passenger vehicles, 13.8% were commercial vehicles, 8.9% were motorcycles, quad bikes or ATVs and less than 1% were buses and minibuses.
The number of vehicles with new licenses over the same period was 5,887 with new vehicles amounting to 3,489 and used vehicles, 2,398.
