About 200 ancient pine trees were uprooted by the violent tornado that struck in the morning in Milano Marittima (Ravenna) on the avenues, without counting those that have fallen into the pine forest. The damage to the beach facilities on the beach is also significant.
The whirlwind, coming from the sea, broke out on the coast for about 10 minutes, in a very limited area, about a square kilometer where it felled the trees and caused numerous damages that are still being quantified.
“There are about 150 people involved in restoring the services – said mayor Medri – we have received help from neighboring municipalities and many tourists have also rolled up their sleeves to help us”. In the course of verification the damage to the bathing establishments that however, from tomorrow, will return in full service. Many cars that were parked along the road where the trees fell have also been damaged. The conditions of the injured woman, who remains in hospital in Cesena, do not raise particular concerns.
