New episode of tremor for the German Chancellor Angela Merkel. During an official ceremony in Berlin, nine days after a similar episode and a few hours before leaving for the G20 in Osaka.
This new episode took place at the official ceremony of appointing the new Justice Minister Christine Lambrecht at Bellevue Castle in Berlin, when the chancellor began to tremble all over her body. Merkel trembled for about two minutes, a photographer from the DPA news agency observed and the tremor stopped when she managed to take a few steps.
“There are no cancellations of appointments for today and tomorrow, the Chancellor is well and will go, as planned, by plane to Osaka,” the Chancellery told AFP. A similar but much more impressive crisis had hit her during an official ceremony on June 18 with the new Ukrainian president, Volodymyr Zelensky. These tremors had been attributed to dehydration.
