A woman from Nevada saved the life of a lizard with a cardiac massage, after finding IT almost drowned in the pool at home. Amy Hooks posted a video on YouTube, which shows at first the lizard in trouble in the pool of her family home, in Summerlin.

The video then passes to the woman who is using her fingers to perform chest compressions on the unconscious lizard, while her husband Kevin and his son Casey give suggestions and encouragement.

The Hook almost seems to give up at some point, convinced that the lizard is now dead, but resumes compressions and the lizard eventually recovers, starting to breathe again on its own.

The video ends with the lizard sunbathing while Hooks’ husband and son wonder if the lizard should find its parents or “be the parent” and “go shopping”.
