Italian cruise line Costa Cruises has teamed up with Eurochocolate, an annual week-long chocolate exhibition held in Italy, to create a cruise package that’s entirely dedicated to sweets.
The cruise lasts for 8 days and will take you all around Europe, with the ship docking in places like Genoa and Catania – Italy, Barcellona and Palma de Majorca – Spain, and… MALTA!!!!
To be able to participate in the chocolate-themed events, guests must purchase a special package for 120 euros, or about $132, in addition to booking a basic or all-inclusive cabin. As a bonus, everyone who participates in the Eurochocolate package gets a welcome kit that’s filled with sweet treats and chocolate-themed gadgets.
The cruise’s itinerary features workshops where you can make pastries, chocolate and wine tastings, chocolate-themed cocktails, meals prepared by renowned chefs, and even trips to chocolate-themed excursions. Some highlights include a special stop at the world-famous Museu de la Xocolata, a chocolate museum in Barcelona, and events featuring some of the most important national and international chocolate makers in the world.
Amidst all of the stops and shows, guests can watch a sculptor from Eurochocolate as they work on turning a whole block of chocolate into an original work of art over the course of the eight-day trip.
The Eurochocolate Cruise departs from both Civitavecchia, Italy, and Genoa, Italy, in April 2020 and you can find all booking details on Costa Cruises’ website.
